Art classes and workshops in my Suffolk studio in the heart of Burt St Edmunds, a beautiful city.

​

My dream has been to have a space to teach and pass on my many techniques and passions behind my nature-driven artwork, styling and photography.

​

I love texture, acrylic, washes, reductions and being totally free with my art. I have even used earth and coffee.....pigments and inks too. All inspired by the tones of the seasons and the worn patina of the seasons. Muted palettes and fabulous textures. 

​

Loads of fun play and learning where nothing is 'wrong' -just come and express yourself. Let me show you how!

I have sold my work all over the world for the last twenty years and have appeared in three coffee table books and have styled cookbooks and magazines.........prop styling classes definitely to  come too if this is your thing!!! Please watch my space.

I CAN OFFER ONE-ONE ABSTRACT ART CLASSES

​

Price will be 135 GBP for a day where we will work together from 10am -4pm with a light lunch provided and teas and coffees available in the studio.

​

A block of 6 classes is suggested to finish a canvas but is not necessary if you want just the basic information.

​

Recommended however is a 6 week class

​

6 classes over 6 weeks would be 729 GBP paid in full but can be paid weekly at 135 BBP

​

week one - discussion and inspiration, mood and color combination. Mixing and using colors. Learn how to mute colours. Make your own colour board.

​

week two -mixing and learning texture pastes and how to make your own safely.  Applying to your canvas in many different ways.

​

week three - beginning your first layer of acrylic and learning rubbing back and reduction. How to blend and use water and other tools.

​

week four- Build the layers of acrylic and find your freedom here. Refine your piece and LEARN edging, Add washes to make your piece cohesive.

​

week five- Final washes and adding last layers. Using charcoal, pigments and adding final pastel elements.

 

Week Six - Finishing your piece, discussion and sealing your artwork to take away.

​

All materials will be provided. plus, a lunch and drinks

​
